SHOT HEARD AROUND THE WORLD

Immediately after I finished my twelfth blog article in 2012 (Bi-polar Nature of Christmas –http://wp.me/p158HG-9p), God clearly spoke a one-liner “SHOT HEARD AROUND THE WORLD.” I have pondered this in my spirit since then.

The “shot heard around the world” refers to the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. The first shot was fired during an armed standoff between British forces and local militia in Lexington. It started a chain of events that led to the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

It turns out that the “shot heard around the world” also refers to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. This event is considered to be one of the immediate causes of World War I.

When God declared: “SHOT HEARD AROUND THE WORLD,” the LORD Himself was declaring a revolutionary world war on Christmas. Please hear me out, because I do not say this lightly; and I have a divine mandate to speak about His Bride connection to Christmas.

Christians that insist others say “Merry Christmas” truly believe it’s declaring all the goodness of Jesus during this season, but is that really what’s go on? Let’s break the word “Christmas” down to “Christ” “mass” and get to the root of the matter. The first part of the word Christmas is from the Greek “Christos,” which mean anointed and is the counterpart to Hebrew word “Messiah.” The second syllable in the word “Christmas” has a long history going all the way back to St. Ambrose who lived between 339 and 397 AD. As bishop of Milan, Ambrose first used “missa” as a term for the Lord’s Supper and by the end of the 6th century this term was almost exclusively used. The word came from the Greek word, “mitere,” which means “to send or dismiss.” In the early days of the church, the eucharistic service was divided into two parts – those receiving instruction (catechumens) were allowed to be there during the first part, but only the faithful (those who had been baptized) could remain for the second part. Thus there were two dismissals pronounced by use of the Latin words “Ite misse est” (“Go, you are dismissed.”) So “missa” came to refer to the dismissal. Later, when the service became connected so that there was no mid-way dismissal, the entire service was called “missa.” In Old English, that came across as maesse, and in Middle English it was called either “messe” or “masse.” Thus, the worship gathering for the Catholic Church at the time became known for its ending pronouncement. It would be like calling a basketball game the “Buzzer,” or a theatre play, the “Curtain.” If you are a Christian that truly believes in the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, I’d avoid declaring “Merry Christmas” over people because at its root the word “Christmas” means “Christ’s dismissal” or “Christ, you are dismissed.”

When I’ve searched for what it means that God Himself declared “SHOT HEARD AROUND THE WORLD,” one thing that comes to mind is the story of the first Hanukkah when the leader of the Maccabee family – Mattisyahu – became inflamed with righteous indignation at the blatant desecration of the Name. To those who are unfamiliar with the historical accounts of the first Hanukkah, please allow me to quickly paint a picture. In those troubled times of the Anti-Christ prophesied by Daniel, Mattisyahu, the son of John who was a previous High Priest, left Jerusalem where the persecution was strongest. He and his family settled in Modi’in, a Judean village near Jerusalem. One day the king’s forces appeared in Modi’in and demanded that the town sacrifice in the pagan fashion. They chose the most respected man in town, Mattisyahu, to comply (1 Macc 2:17-18). Bribery was the door for many to pagan conversion. If Mattisyahu would simply sacrificed a pig and eat it, he and his sons would be considered the king’s friends’, which was an official title that carried many privileges including social and material advantages. As Mattisyahu was defiantly refusing the pagan honor, a turncoat Jew neared the pagan altar to offer the sacrifice (1 Macc 2:19-24). Mattisyahu was filled with righteous indignation at this blatant desecration of ‘The Name’. In the tradition of Phineas (Num 25:1-13), Mattisyahu grabbed a sword and killed the Jewish traitor on the altar along with the messenger of the pagan king (I Macc 2:24-26). After tearing down the altar, Mattisyahu ran through the city shouting: “Whoever is zealous for the Torah and is steadfast in the Covenant let him follow me!” (I Macc 2:27).

That shout of Mattisyahu is still ringing out: “Whoever is zealous for the Torah (God’s Word) and is steadfast in the Covenant let him follow me!” It echoes the cry Moses when He discovered the children of Israel worshiping the Golden Calf: “Whoever if for YHVH, join me!” (Exo 32:26). Before this time the firstborn were chosen to be priests of Israel. With Moses clarion call for a radical uncompromising tribe to cleave to the Marriage Contract (Covenant) given on Mount Sinai – the Ten Commandments – a new breed of priests arose – the Levitical Priesthood. Today, another new breed is arising in the form of a royal priesthood after the Order of Melchizedek with the Messiah Yeshua the High Priest over it all.

I agree with Ian Clayton that as of December 2012, God is doing something different in the earth than ever before. The Lord has now superseded both the Hebraic Levitical Priesthood and Christianity’s Apostolic Government of earth by instituting His own priestly Order of Melchizedek. This order is operated from heaven, not earth, where a radical uncompromising tribe who are zealous for God’s Word and steadfast in their devotion to be married to the King of Kings get how to bring heaven to earth by their own personal connection to the Head – Christ Jesus. Let me repeat. This is not a earthly, man-made priestly order. You don’t even have to understand it to yoke yourself to this new kingdom mystery that’s unveiling before our very eyes. You just have to love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul and strength as well as being willing to move with whirlwind, which is a powerful mysteries of the kingdom in the Cloud of God.

Does Hanukkah really have nothing to do with Christmas? Well… Hanukkah is all about overthrowing an Antichrist and his polluted sun god sacrifices placed on God’s Altar, which is essentially Christmas. Unbeknownst to many Christians today, we have actually been doing what the first named Antichrist did and are calling it true worship.

In 168 BC on December 25th, Antiochus Epiphanes IV set up a statue of a pagan sun god on the Altar in God’s Temple to be worshiped; and then, sacrificed a pig on that same altar. We are His Temple and our hearts are His Altar. Believers have lost track of the fact that throughout antiquity all the pagan sun gods’ birthdays were celebrated on the ancient winter solstice – December 25th – our modern Christmas Day. To make matters worse, the immediate predecessor of our modern Christmas Season can be literally traced back to the Golden Calf that Aaron fashioned. At the same time Aaron made an altar to God’s specifications, took the people’s gold and made a golden idol, Moses received the nation’s ketubah (marriage contract), which contained the Ten Commandments. Each person is being given a choice in this hour: The Golden Calf or His Marriage Contract (Covenant)? This is the shot being heard right now around your world and mine, and is it ever revolutionary!!! “Whoever if for YHVH, join me!!!!!!!

“The secret of YHWH is with those that fear him and he shall show them his covenant.” (Psalm 25:14).

“He is the faithful Elohim who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.” (Deut. 7:9)
